As Chief Brand Officer at MediaLink, Lena Petersen drives the company’s brand strategy and leverages her deep expertise in integrated marketing communications to advise a diverse group of clients.
Lena joined MediaLink in 2016 and has since fortified its marketplace position as a one-of-a-kind consultancy. Her work for the brand spans oversight of all marketing communications functions. Her success at differentiating MediaLink helped capture the attention of Ascential plc, which acquired the firm in 2017.
Lena advises C-suite executives at brands, agencies, media companies and tech providers, shaping their influence and presence everywhere from the sales meeting to the stage. She’s brokered dynamic partnerships and curated bespoke platforms and programming on their behalf, including soup-to-nuts ideation of owned events and visibility and growth strategy tailored to all major events.
Lena’s expertise stems from working at Starcom MediaVest Group (now Publicis Media), where she was EVP of Products and Partnerships, orchestrating a series of industry-first brand partnerships and events. For 16 years, she elevated the reputation of SMG and its clients through innovation industry alliances and programming. Prior to SMG, Lena was responsible for marketing communications efforts at Leo Burnett and for a period as Assistant Press Secretary for the Office of the Speaker and Illinois House Minority Leader.
