Christopher Vollmer brings more than two decades of strategy consulting experience advising senior leaders globally across the media and marketing ecosystem. As a Managing Director and senior member of MediaLink’s leadership team, Chris advises clients in media, entertainment, sports, marketing services, and consumer technology on corporate strategy and business transformation, new revenue models and growth acceleration, and business development including acquisitions and partnerships.

Before joining MediaLink in January 2019, Chris was the Global Advisory Leader for Entertainment and Media at PwC and a Partner in Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. Prior to joining PwC in 2014 via its acquisition of Booz & Company, Chris was a Partner with Booz & Company and the Global Leader of its Entertainment and Media Practice.

Chris is a recognized thought leader and commentator on major trends in media, advertising and technology. His insights have been featured in the Financial Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, AdAge, Variety, Axios and strategy+business, among others. In 2008, he authored Always On, a Wall Street Journal business bestseller, which chronicled the digital-fueled transformation of media and marketing. Most recently, he led PwC’s Global Entertainment and Media Outlook thought leadership platform, which included his 2018 viewpoint on new revenue models, addressable audiences and fan-centric businesses entitled The Revenue Stream Revolution in Entertainment and Media.

Chris was selected as a Young Leader by the Atlantik-Brücke in 2005 and as a Rockefeller Fellow by the Partnership for New York City in 2011. He currently serves on the US Advisory Board of the IESE Business School. He received both an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA in International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He also graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts. Chris lives in Old Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and their two children.
