Bucky Keady is a senior vice president focused on executive search at MediaLink, where she brings extensive experience driving strategic talent upgrades to support reinvention at iconic media, entertainment and creative businesses. Bucky is a trusted partner to CEOs and company boards and had a key role in business, editorial and digital transformation at Time Inc. and Condé Nast. She has a deep capacity for organizational design and business strategy and a sharp focus on talent management and productivity.
Across her career, Bucky has developed a reputation as an inventive, compassionate and tenacious executive, experienced with talent management at all levels – and with training recruiters to work at all levels. She has a record of establishing a culture of performance backed by passion, ethics, analytics and results. She’s built and led high-performance teams through business disruption and is a frequent speaker on leadership, organizational design, learning and development, digital transformation, and performance management.
In her previous position as SVP of Talent and Learning & Development (2015-2018) at Time Inc., Bucky was responsible for talent transformation to support the company’s high-intensity transition to a multiplatform media company. She directly partnered with CEOs and EVPs to define talent strategy to support the reimagined company and was an active participant in multiple mergers, acquisitions, launches and divestitures. She was responsible for recruiting business and editorial executives at the highest levels of the company, making a deliberate effort to identify out-of-industry sales, marketing, technology and executive talent to refresh strategies and diversity of thought.
Over 18 years at Time Inc., Bucky oversaw Talent Management and Learning & Development for 30 major brands, built teams for newly launched digital brands like TheDrive.com, PeopleTV, an over-the-top streaming network, and #welldone, the company’s first social-first brand. She was an integral member of the spin committee that created the talent infrastructure for the new Time Inc. and worked with six CEOs over six years as the company separated from Time Warner, developed as an independent business and assessed strategic options, including the ultimate sale to Meredith Corporation in 2018. She was a columnist for workplace issues forReal Simple magazine and RealSimple.com.
Earlier, Bucky was an Associate Director of Human Resources at Condé Nast, where she partnered with executives, Editors-in-Chief and Publishers to launch and re-staff magazines, including House & Garden (renamed HG), Vogue and Details. She started her career at Cushman & Wakefield and was a Personnel Manager for Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co.
Bucky has a BA in English from Marymount College in New York. She is an active fundraiser for the Harlem Academy in New York.
